Our Story

The mountainboarding scene is growing fast here in North America.

More and more people are getting into the sport every year, and it’s easy to see why. Mountainboarding is a unique blend of skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing – one that offers riders a chance to enjoy the outdoors while getting a great workout.

While the sport is new, there aren’t too many blogs covering the ATB scene.

So we (Paul and Jake) decided to put together this guide to help people learn more about mountainboarding and what it has to offer.

Mountainboarding is a great way to get outside and explore nature. There are so many different places to ride, and each one has its own unique challenge. Whether you’re carving up a steep hillside or bombing through the woods, there’s always something new to discover.

We love mountainboarding because it’s such a versatile sport. You can ride anywhere from the local skate park to the backcountry, and there’s always something new to learn. No two rides are ever the same, which keeps things interesting.

While we both love mountainboarding, each of us has an eclectic mix of boarding interests.

Jake comes from a heavy skateboarding background, with the battle scars and broken bones to prove it. His hero is Tony Hawk (just like many of us who grew up in the early 2000s!), but he’s in to surfing, kiteboarding, and just about anything that can get his ice cold veins pumping.

Unfortunately his web design day job doesn’t cut it!

Paul is just a die-hard mountainboarding maniac. He fell in love with the scene after moving too far away from his native snow slopes – and subsequently needing to find an all-weather fix.

That’s how mountainboarding came to prominence in the first place!

We’re sure grateful it did.

Hope you enjoy the site!
